Hello, I was Mike's Barber, and knew him since 1989...he use to come to my barbershop in Penbrook and we found out through talking that we were both musicians....we shared alot of stories about our musical experiences, as i played keyboards and we talked alot about the keys...I went to see him play at Resivoir Park years ago and was impressed with his musical talents, i lost track of him fo about a year , but then he started to come to the shop where i work now in the Colonial Park Mall....Mike told me a great story about talking to Dave Matthews, and his new job at the time, he later went to work at the state in the same area as my brother at The House Of Representatives...he told me he was getting married and intrduced me to his new lady that he was very happy with, they later had children of which i cut his one son's hair also...great kids....He always had a smile and loved talking music when we got together....I went to see his band at the time at Resivoir Park in Harrisburg, and was amazed how well he played bass and keyboards....mike was always ready to offer help in any way he could....I am very saddened about his passing but he will always be in my thoughts and his spirit lives on...I was so fortunate to have met him and shared some musical ideas with him....he loved his wife, children, family and his music and friends...I will be making a donation, and i pray that you guys will continue to keep the band together, and use the God blessed talents you all have, because i'm sure Mike would want you to do that...I'm not good at expressing my loss with his passing, but i want to thank you guys for giving me an opportunity to express this loss ....His wife was just in the barbershop in the Colonial Park Mall where i work, but i was off that day....I hope to see her soon....keep the music going.. all of you and stop in and say hello, Your friend in music, Sincerely, Respectfully, Peace, and God Bless all of you....Billy Corish, (Keyboards/vocals) City Groove Band.... www.citygrooveband.com |
